Her understanding of her patients is informed by the interaction of their biological, psychological, social, and spiritual dimensions. Her aim is to make you feel heard and understood, to identify and help you understand the factors contributing to the problems you are seeking help for, and to work with you in solving these problems. She strives to accomplish this through her clinical knowledge and experience, her understanding of the human person rooted in Catholic philosophy and the psychiatric/psychological sciences, and her provision of adequate time for attentive and comprehensive care.
Though Dr. Choi has training and experience in providing various modes of psychotherapy, currently she primarily provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, and medication management with supportive psychotherapy. If more intensive psychotherapy is a part of your treatment plan, Dr. Choi will provide referrals and work with your therapist in coordinating your care.
